Built on faith, hard work, and an entrepreneurial spirit, Southern Spark Designs was founded by Lissa Davis in Melbourne, Arkansas. What began in 2017 as a small hobby creating custom metal signs—combining Lissa’s creativity with her husband Lane’s welding expertise—quickly grew into something more. Over time, Southern Spark Designs expanded from a side project into a full-service business offering custom graphics, apparel, signage, and more.

A major milestone came in 2020 when Southern Spark Designs acquired Mike’s Graphic, transforming the company into a comprehensive graphics and custom apparel business. With the opening of a storefront at 2000 E. Main Street in Melbourne, Arkansas, Southern Spark Designs became a trusted local resource for custom signs, banners, apparel printing, embroidery, laser engraving, and more.

Today, Southern Spark Designs operates as a one-stop shop for custom creations, working with local businesses, schools, teams, and families to bring their ideas to life. Every project reflects the creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication that have shaped the business from the beginning.

Community involvement remains a central part of the company’s mission. Southern Spark Designs proudly supports local organizations and events, including the Melbourne Bearkatz Booster Club, student athletes, and community fundraisers. In 2026, the business also sponsored the ICARE Talent Show organized by the Izard County Animal Rescue Effort, supporting animal rescue and humane education in the region.
